neighborhoods and horse pastures. You will find much open space and plenty of parks, ponds,
and marshes as well as hiking and riding trails.

encampment where General Putnam's troops stayed during the winter of 1778-79.
There are parks for mountain bikers, horseback riders, canoeists, dog walkers and joggers who enjoy
views of meadows, ponds, pastures, and wooded areas.
Redding recently renovated the Mark Twain Public Library, originally founded with a

1908 until his death in 1910.
Redding has excellent schools. Redding Public Schools include Redding Elementary School, John Read Middle School, and Joel Barlow High School serve the Town of Redding.
